An easy hike that takes you past Curly Phillip's historic boathouse. Along the trail, you will come accross a number of interpretive panels. The Mary Shaffer Loop will take you through pine, spruce and subalpine fir before looping back to the parking lot.

Follow Maligne Lake road almost to the very end. Turn into the first parking lot at Maligne Lake and follow any path down to the shoreline, eventually leading to a paved path going left.
