Jasper's Maligne Canyon Hiking in Winter
As you can see in the first few images below, there are
great views of spectacular icicles hanging along Maligne Canyon's rock faces. On that visit (end of Nov 2005), some of these hanging, frozen waterfalls were breaking loose during the warmer hours, which is an obvious reason to
stay on the trail and
not observe from down below.
We visited Maligne Canyon's winter Ice hike numerous times, and our favorite time was March 2006.
